Ravel's La Valse is among the most well-known and popular of his orchestral compositions. But like some other famous Ravel orchestral works, it was originally written for piano duet (1919-1920). This edition reproduces that original piano duet version. It displays all the virtuosity and technical brilliance, as well as the sensual richness, that are hallmarks of Ravel's style.
