Henry Fillmore's "Lassus Trombone" for SOLO trombone (or contrabass flute) was arranged for a concert that featured a trombone soloist with the Nashua (NH) Flute Choir. The instruments blend well and the combination brought in a wider audience than usual. "Lassus" is the most famous of Fillmore's trombone smears - pieces that feature long glissandos for the trombone. Can't find a trombonist? A contrabass flute part is included, just in case! It is scored for solo trombone (or contrabass flute), 5 C flutes (1st part doubles picc), alto &; bass flute.
