On the piano, the left hand is required to exercise a dual function, being called upon to assume the effect of a rhythm guitar and bass! Thus, in frequent instances, the main difficulty does not lie in the right hand alone, but rather in the skillful combination of both hands to produce proper rhythmic coordination. Apart from an abundance of solos, all written out in full, special importance has been attached within the pages of the album to catering for variety. A whole number of different jazz styles are employed, the spectrum ranging from ragtime, jazz ballad, gospel, slow jazz waltz, and medium swing, through to blues in shuffle rhythm.
