This woodwind quintet was commissioned by the Swiss ensemble Opus Novum, whose members also recorded this composition perfectly. There is about everything that expanded jazz structures have in them and rhythmic / virtuoso passages alternate relatively evenly with lyrical ones. Stylistically, I would classify it somewhere between Stravinsky and Richie Bairach. The most beautiful misuse happened to the play when it appeared in a Meinl commercial in the 90s, in which the dreaded German Burgtheater director Claus Peymann drank coffee and praised Vienna, two real opposites (Peymann and "Vienna praise"), lifted by the coffee house. A symbol for this city, whose primary aim is "Vienna is different". At least that's true in that when this city is run as a family business of one party. And you can interpret it either way, depending on your point of view or family affiliation. And although Vienna is “different”, I still like living in this city since 1977, in which a not insignificant part of the modern age was born at the beginning of the last century, the traces of which you come across at every turn. And I was able to experience for myself how the city began to wake up from its slumber in the late 1970s and has since developed from a musty retirement home to a lively, young-looking metropolis. Short but effective developments. (M.
