This sonata comes from Francesco Turinis Madrigali a una, due, tre voci, con alcune Sonate a due, et a tre, Libra Primo (Venice, 1621), which contains four substantial instrumental pieces, all of which have been included in the present series.
Francesco Turini, the son of another musician, was born in Prague around 1589, and died in Brescia in 1656.
