Composed in Ancient Style for King Ludwig II of Bavaria.
These duets were written because the king required period music for his commissioned historical ballet, 'Amor and Psyche.' Ludwig II was pleased with Zenger's music, and named him Royal Bavarian Professor of Music in 1882. This is the first printed edition of this music, which is an excerpt from the 2nd act of the ballet. Two copies needed for performance.
