The other instruments of the recorder family appear in varying arrangements as accompaniment for the soprano recorder as melody instrument. The easy and lovely-sounding songs and chorales are to some extent already playable by those in the first year of instruction. Those well versed in global Christmas music from various centuries will find many recognizable pieces in here. It could also be a good way to introduce students to the Christmas music of other lands.
