String Connection With Clarinet. By: Kuhn. Mixed Ensemble.

Originally written for Sabine Meyer, it was recorded by 4 Bb clarinets and bass clarinet, with Meyer playing the classical part and American clarinetist Eddie Daniels performing the improvisational jazz part. Then clarinetist Andy Miles had the wonderful idea to combine the classical and jazz parts by rescoring it for solo Bb clarinet and string quartet. This exciting, three-movement version is available here, and is recorded by Andy Miles and the Auryn Quartet on their CD Crossing Borders.
