Little is known about Peter Prelleur, the author of "The Modern Mustik-Master".
He wrote music for the stage, symphonies, psalms, sacred and secular songs. He probably died between 1748 and 1758.
His "Modern Mustik-Master" is considered one of the most interesting English publications from the first half of the 18th century.
These dances can inspire the recorder player, with a basic knowledge of the instrument, to practise phrasing, articulation and ornamentation.
