Three Pieces by Handel and Beethoven.
Catelinet, Philip.

Brass Ensemble.
For: 4B-tbn (alt: 3Tbn.B-tbn)(alt: 2Hn.Euph.Tba/Db).

Full score. Handel: Sarabande & Bouree; Beethoven: Nature's Adoration 'Die Himmel ruhmen'.
These three short pieces (even with repeats none of them should take more than 5 minutes to perform) have alternate parts so the makeup of the quartet is flexible; the score shows 4 trombones in bass clef, but you may also get parts for the first three trombones in treble clef, the trombone 4 part may be played on tuba, and there are alternate parts for horn 1 & 2, euphonium, and bass. The Sarabande is the most famous of the three, though you may recognize them all and wonder why they weren't written for brass quartet to begin with since the arrangements work so well. Players with merely intermediate skills are needed (the Sarabande may even be played by advanced beginners if they can handle reading Gb Major), but tuning skills will be worked on, especially in 'Nature's Adoration' which involves a fair amount of unison.
